In June 2012, after report begun circulating that the newly formed M23 militia group in Congo was being fueled by recruits and support from neighbouring Rwanda, one of our friends in the House of Commons, the Honourable Mike Hacock, MP, CBE, tabled a parliamentary motion, Early Day Motion 149: Rwanda’s role in the Democratic Republic of Congo, signed by 33 Members of Parliament, urging the Government to fully examine Britain’s military and financial support to Rwanda and report to the House on this matter on the earliest possible occasion.
